The thesis is that the rich have becomes very rich. So, rich that they cannot spend all their money. So, they are buying up assets: gold, building societies, houses, stocks and shares, public space, etc. Asset inflation is 13 %+ while it is 3 % for the rest. So, they own everything and people cannot buy into it. The solution is a wealth tax. But, people continue to vote against their interests. Kind of alienation/ false consciousness.
