July, and the Mediterranean weather continues.  In the thirties most days.

Certainly gives rise to some spectacular skies:

A Hare in the sky:

But, the land is turning yellow:

I make it down to Hengistbury Head, which is the nearest water for me:

Dublin, and the LifeMask of William Blake:

I also visit the rather spooky Church of Netherhampton:

Important programme on TV about inequality:

The thesis is that the rich have becomes very rich. So, rich that they cannot spend all their money. So, they are buying up assets: gold, building societies, houses, stocks and shares, public space, etc. Asset inflation is 13 %+ while it is 3 % for the rest. So, they own everything and people cannot buy into it. The solution is a wealth tax. But, people continue to vote against their interests. Kind of alienation/ false consciousness.

Music, and I have been having a bing on English pastoral: I have a penchant for this radical vision of English Romanticism.
